Better Ultra drivers and tweeter designs

The Ultra Tower speaker features a unique SVS Force Factor woofer array, with two 8-inch drivers positioned horizontally across the speaker's base for room-filling bass output. The cabinet's unique shape allows each woofer to fire in a different direction, delivering deep, effortless and precise bass throughout the listening area.  Complementing the speaker's unique woofer design are the Ultra Tower Speaker's dual 6.5-inch midrange drivers, made from composite fiberglass cones. It offers an excellent stiffness-to-mass ratio that improves sensitivity and sound reproduction that is completely neutral and true to the source material. 

Unmatched Sound-match Crossover Connection

These high-end speakers require a similarly capable crossover for better music output, and hence here no cost is saved with the 3.5-way SVS Sound Match smart crossover. Its tapered array is designed so that only the upper midrange driver passes through the tweeter, while the lower midrange is passed through the woofer to minimize the possibility of radiation. This creates an expansive, yet focused and precise soundstage with accurate frequency response and imaging at all listening positions in the room. Fine-tuning the Sound Match Crossover also ensures precise accuracy, from sparkling highs to subterranean lows, while maintaining signal purity.

Improved Technology

The tall speakers are separated and sealed with midrange enclosure which minimizes top and bottom wall dimensions to push standing waves beyond the driver's passband, minimizing negative driver interaction and associated frequency response degradation keep it to a limit. If the cabinet walls are not parallel, the axial standing waves in the cabinet will be reduced and the frequency response will be less coloured. An acoustically transparent FEA-optimized grille, wedge-shaped front baffle, and flush-mounted drivers all contribute to reduced edge diffraction and improved on-axis high-frequency response. FEA-optimized bracing, 1" thick mid/tweeter baffle, and 1.5" thick woofer baffle eliminate structural resonances, keeping the cabinet acoustically inert even at the highest drive levels

Strong Woofers

The Ultra speakers has been provided with an aluminium short ring to reduce gap inductance and reduce distortion. Long stroke motor and suspension for high performance. Vented voice coil bobbin to minimize air compression artifacts at high drive levels. Two horizontally opposed, side-firing SVS woofers counteract mechanical forces, increase modal density and reduce distortion for smooth, precise bass at any listening position. This results in unexperienced music output.

Mid-range drivers and tweeters

The 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter comes with a FEA-optimized diffuser for airy, announced presentations. The aluminium dome provides excellent transient response and excellent stiffness-to-mass ratio. The 6.5" Midrange Composite fiberglass cone with excellent stiffness-to-mass ratio for high sensitivity and piston-like behaviour beyond the passband for reduced gap inductance, reduced distortion and improved high frequency response aluminium short ring in a cast aluminium basket to ensure precise alignment of critical components and additional cooling capacity. Vented voice coil bobbin to minimize air compression artifacts at high drive levels.
