Moved from Bose to Sonos Speakers

Bought 2 of these, the Sonos Subwoofer, and the sonos port (to connect to my reciever) to play albums. Very happy with the resulting sound quality and ease of use of app. I prefer the sound of Bose speakers but the Bose app is so bad that I moved to Sonos. I am happy with the switch.

Q: Can I pair this with my laptop with wifi or do i have to have some streaming service, alexa, siri, or something else?
A: Yes the Sonos software will allow you to access local music.
Q: Will this work if it is paired with a Play 5?
A: The Sonos Five can live on the same Sonos system and be grouped with Play:5 (Gen 2). You can not stereo pair the Sonos Five with a Play:5 (Gen 2) as the internals are different and will not allow the two to stereo pair.
Q: Should I add these to my arc and 2 SL1’s?
A: Yes, you can and should!
Q: For the initial setup of the Sonos 5 speakers do they need to be charged up , or do they plug into electrical circuit?
A: All of our products need to be plugged into an outlet for power except our portable speakers (Move, and Roam)
Q: Can the Sonos 5 be used as a speaker for our newer TV?
A: Hi, and thank you very much for reaching out! Sonos Five cannot be used as a tv speaker, however it can be used as wireless rears with our home theater products.
