Did a lot of research for in ceiling speakers for large open area living room to hook up to Bose Music amplifier. speakers have very clear high and mid range trebles with little to mid range base at best.

Good sound quality for ambient music

RC80i Polk Audio speakers were purchased for the kitchen living area of my home. They seem to be superior to inexpensive paper cone speakers and offer clean sound. Although I do not plan to crank them up very loud, testing them at a moderate volume produced clear results (louder than music for a typical social gathering, but not so loud that the neighbors could hear). I simply cut the holes and hung them up there without boxing them in pushing them with 100 watts. They would be suitable for rear channels in a theater setup and for similar uses.

The installation process for Polk RC80i speakers is not too difficult. The tricky part was running the speaker wires through fishtape, but if you already have speaker wires routed, all you have to do is cut the hole using the template, connect it, and you are good to go. Even though I am not an audiophile, I am delighted with the sound production and can turn the volume up very high without any distortion.
