Brand-new battle-style layout
Experience a fresh battle-style layout that mimics the setup of professional DJs who specialize in battles. Imagine having two virtual turntables and a mixer, just like the real gear. The Pioneer DDJ-REV1 gives you lots of room to do mixing and scratching techniques. The tempo sliders are longer than those on the DDJ-SB3, giving you more precise control.
Bigger jog wheels
When it comes to scratching, bigger jog wheels are a big advantage. The Pioneer REV1 has the same size of jog wheels as the DDJ-SR2, which is a well-liked controller that's even more advanced. This means you have more space to scratch and play with your music, making your DJ experience even more exciting and enjoyable.
Lever FX
This Serato DJ Controller has a feature called Lever FX – a cool way to spice up your music. Just pull down the levers and keep them down to add quick effects from Serato DJ Lite. Or push the levers up to lock in effects, freeing up your hands for scratching or searching through your tracks. This feature adds an extra layer of fun and creativity to your DJ sessions, letting you experiment with different sounds in a smooth and hands-free manner.
Tracking Scratch
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1 2-Deck comes with Tracking Scratch, when you move the jog wheel from backward to forward or let go of it, the music quietly goes back to the cue point. This saves you from having to close the fader and figure out where to begin the scratch again. It's easy to use: just pick the Tracking Scratch Pad mode, pick a Scratch Crossfader Cuts pattern using a Performance Pad, and start moving the jog wheel.
Mixed microphone audio
With the DJ-REV1, you can smoothly blend your voice into your stream. If you connect a microphone, the sound from it will be mixed together with the main audio that's playing. This is a big deal because you won't need extra stuff like a separate mixer or sound card to make it happen. If you want to add your speech or singing to your performance and send it through your computer, you're all set. Everything goes through Serato DJ Lite, so you can easily stream from there.
Serato DJ Lite integration
Once you've got Serato DJ Lite on your computer (which you can get for free), using the REV1 from Pioneer is easy. Just connect it using the provided USB cable and you're ready to DJ. The controller lets you control lots of cool things in the software using its buttons, knobs, faders, and jog wheels. And here's something neat: With the Scratch Bank pad mode, you can quickly bring in scratch sounds from 4 banks that you've set up in Serato DJ Lite or Pro. All you have to do is tap the special Scratch Bank button.
