Since the Pro-sub 800 seemed to lack bass and the bass was not tight when it was loud, I purchased the Pro-1000 to add more bass to my Procinema 800 set. It got worse when I first tried using two subs (800 and 1000) on each side. I was told by Marantz Audissey to equal the bass volume for both, but as soon as I started playing, I could see the difference between both. The bass on the Pro-sub 1000 side was louder, lower frequency, and warmer. More significantly, it vibrated less than the. It is simple to grasp because bigger speakers produce deeper bass or use fewer watts.

To set up my home entertainment system previous years, I bought this sub-woofer (ProSub 1000), 5 Definitive-Technology Speakers, and a Sony receiver/amplifier. Since then, I have had a great time with them, and I have no regrets about my purchase. When I use my XBox 360 to play video games or watch movies, this woofer produces excellent sound and bass. It does this so well that occasionally I fail to notice the subtle sounds that are actually coming from the woofer set that greatly enhance the realism of the images I am seeing. All volume settings I have been able to listen to music at while using my system sound absolutely amazing.

The sub favorable to 1000 sounds great however not quite so great as it ought to at the cost. It is perfect for a little room however I think mine is all in all too enormous for this model. Bass is spotless and not excessively overpowering. I like the volume control on the right of the speaker rather than on the back. Pleasant subwoofer pro 1000 Active Subwoofer.
